Hall of Champions Gallery | Championship Trophy
The Mississauga Touch Football League Division Championship Trophy, symbolizes the Pride and Excellence of our Proud League.  Nothing could be more fitting of a Division Champion in the MTFL.  Without any doubt, each season, every player on every team in the League, will strive to compete at their highest level to attain of this Ultimate Glory and hoist it in Victory.

Background:
Introduced at the 2010 AGM, the MTFL Executive Committee felt the time for the League to own a brand new trophy was long overdue.  This new trophy would need to be considered one of prestige and significance to honour those Division Champions of the past, and recognize those that earn it in future seasons.
With the start of a new decade, there was no better time to introduce something new and bold to mark the beginning of a new era in the history of the League.

TROPHY DETAILS:

The trophy, including both base and cup, stands just a little over 4 feet tall.  The concept was developed by Bill Chan.  The base was custom designed and constructed by Mulligan Woodworking Limited.  The cup was supplied by Champion Trophies.  Both are businesses based in Mississauga.

CUP:
  • Gold plated finish on a metal cup, 18" tall.

    BASE:
    - Construction -
  • solid maple faces mitred and folded in a hollow octagon shape, with a gunstock walnut stain and marine lacquer finish.

    - Dimensions -
    (upper section)
  • 10 1/4" high, with 1/2" high bevel edged bottom ring.
  • Three horizontal bands, 3" tall, separated by a 1/4" "V" groove.

    (lower section)
  • 20 1/4" high, with 3/4" high bevel edged bottom ring painted black and a metal cover plate.
