MTFL - About the MTFL

The Mississauga Touch Football League (MTFL) was established in 1972 and is a non-profit organization, operated by an Executive Committee of volunteers who are voted in by its League Membership.

The MTFL remains one of the most active and competitive leagues in the GTA and has been the home to many Canadian Touch Football National Championship teams. In addition to league play, some of our teams also compete in the Trillium Tour Tournaments in order to qualify for Provincial and National Championship ranking.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS

John Schiebel
Longtime Executive Committee Member, became League President in 2009. Current responsibilities also include Player Registar.
In 2009, spearheaded contact with Toronto Argonauts Football Club and coordinated first 'MTFL Night' at a Toronto Argonauts Game held on Friday, September 11, 2009.
Currently a member of Steelers.

Bill Chan
Became an Executive Committee Member in 2005. In 2005, became Web Site Administrator and credited with redesigning the League's Web Site. In 2006, helped proposed one-time league annual fee payment prior to the start of the season and introduced a new League Logo and became responsbile for sourcing prizing for Division Champions. In 2008, created role of Sponsorhip and took on role of Discipline Chairman. In 2009, took on role of Finances, relequinshed role of Discipline Chairman.
Former member of Vipers (2004), former captain of Thunder (2005-2006), current captain of Arrows (2009).

Jeff Ingram
Became an Executive Committee Member in 2007. In 2008, took on role of City Contact. In 2009 took on role of Divisonal Alignment & Scheduling.
Currently a member of Trailer Park Boyz (2006-2009).

Glenn Stevenson
Became an Executive Committee Member in 2008. In 2009, took on role of Discipline Chairman.
Currently a member of Ghosts.

Tom Mulford
Longtime Executive Member. Responsible for Divisional Alignment & Scheduling. Became League President in 2006. Resigned in 2009.
Currently a member of Gamecocks.

Bob Davidson
Longtime Executive Member. Responsible for City Contact and Prizing. Resigned in 2006.
Currently a member of Razorbacks.

Dave Beatty
Longtime Executive Member and former League President. Resigned in 2005.
